Church of the Trinity

Metropolitan Community Church

7225 Lockwood Ridge Road Sarasota, FL

The Islamic Society of Sarasota/ Bradenton and Church of the Trinity are pleased to partner in offering a two-part series on the Islamic faith.

The series is free and open to the community.  All are welcome.  The series will be hosted by Church of the Trinity in the main sanctuary.

“For over a year we have worked with the Islamic Center, our neighbor on Lockwood Ridge Road, to form a new food pantry and to respond as people of faith, children of Abraham, to the Pulse massacre crisis.  Several months ago, our friends at the Islamic Society reached out to us again to explore new ways of relationship building and mutual understanding.  We agreed that this is the time to build bridges of commonality.”  says Rev. Charles Tigard, Senior Pastor, Church of the Trinity.

The series will explore topics such as, “What is Islam?” “Is Islam a New Faith?” and central beliefs of the Islamic faith.

Church of the Trinity has served Sarasota and Manatee counties for 35 years with a Christian message of hope, love, and inclusion. The diverse, growing congregation welcomes lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and straight allies to worship and community.

Church of the Trinity is a leading congregation within Metropolitan Community Churches, an international Christian denomination with churches and ministries in 41 countries
