Pride + Joy, Macy's unveils new gay website www.Macys.com/pride

In April, Macy’s co-sponsored Miami Beach Gay Pride. Now, the department store announces support for gay pride events throughout the United States. The campaign is called Pride+Joy:

Macy's received a 100 percent rating in the 2009 Corporate Equality Index report!
The Corporate Equality Index, sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation, rated 584 businesses on numerous factors, including non-discrimination policies, diversity training and benefits for domestic partners and transgender employees. The Index rated companies on a scale from zero to 100 percent on their treatment of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors.

Giving back—that's the magic of Macy's
Macy's Passport is the world's largest multi-theatrical fashion extravaganza. It is a high-profile component of Macy's year-round commitment to give back to the community, as well as an opportunity for Macy's to leverage its resources to raise much-needed funds for HIV/AIDS. Since becoming a fundraising event in 1988, Passport has raised more than $28 million for HIV/AIDS research, education, prevention, direct care and outreach programs.

Pride + Joy, Macy’s Pride Month campaign features a multitude of in-store fashion events, advertising support, special tribute windows in select stores, Gift Registry booths for same-sex couples in key cities, as well as sponsorship and employee participation in Pride parades across the country.
